Easter Cookies

This year's Easter cookies almost didn't happen!  Because of all the snow here in CT, report cards were pushed back!  They were due the Wednesday before Easter so there was just a teeny-tiny bit of stress in my house!  Since many people started asking me if they could order cookies, I decided to work "double time" on report cards so that I could make some cookies as well!
Here is my HUGE diningroom table filled with cookies!  Sorry the pictures are a little dark, it was late when I finished and I wasn't about to play with the settings on my camera!
Carrot cookies for the Easter bunny!
New this year: fluffy little chicks!
Easter Bunnies

This year I sold about 16 dozen.  I could have definitely sold a lot more if I had more time to make them!  Thank you to everyone who ordered or who bought some.  I am so happy to be part of your holiday celebrations this year!  Thank you to my repeat customers!

Flower Cupcakes for A Bridal Shower

Today I went to a Bridal shower for one of my good friends from college.  I was honored to be asked to do cupcakes for the event.  It seemed like a perfect swap because when I got married two years ago, Jenn made all my wedding jewelry.  It was a beautiful day at a restaurant right on the water, amidst a marina.

St. Patrick's Day Cookies

St. Patrick's Day cookies....shamrock and a little Leprechaun.

Christening Cake

This cake came out pretty cute.  It was a christening cake for the grandaughter of a lady that I work with.  The baby on top was made to look like the "lady of they day."
I added butterflies to the sides in pastel colors to make it a little more "springy."

Engagement Party Cake

My little brother is getting married!  I can't believe it!  His future mother-in-law threw an engagement party and requested that I do the cake.  I was honored and chose to do blues and white.  I used an X and O pattern for the bottom tier and then letters and hearts on the upper tier.

Here is the top of the cake with their names and the date of the wedding.

Nautical Cookies

These cookies had a nautical theme for a Navy man.  They were a challenge for me but I like the way that they came out!
Packaged and ready to go to the party!
Don't forget the red, white and blue ribbon!

Love Bird Cupcakes

Even though I promised myself that I would NEVER do a wedding cake, I was convinced otherwise with this one.  A friend of mine from highschool was getting married and it was an outdoors rustic wedding.  She wanted me to do the cupcakes and the theme was so precious I couldn't say now.  It was a "love bird" theme.
I love these cupcakes and the bride and groom did too!  They were the cutest things and I loved pairing one blue and one yellow to make it look like they were in love!

Dolphin Birthday Cake

This cake was for a repeat customer!  It was actually made for a dolphin-loving grandmother.  It was so fun to make it.  I used candy pearls to look like bubbles and give the cake a little direction.  I was able to make dolphin cutouts for the sides and then a fondant dolphin jumping out of the top of the cake!

This was a fun cake to make and they loved it!  Again, I was given really little direction other than lemon flavored and dolphins!

Family Reunion Cake

This cake was made for my own family reunion....my gramma asked me if I would be able to "handle" the cake and I told her that I would.  I wanted something summery and fun.  It was the heaviest cake I have ever made!!! It was also about 100 degrees out, so I was worried that it would turn into a melty mess.  Luckily my loving husband fashioned a "cooler" that would keep it cool.  He took a large rubbermaid bin and filled it with ice.  Then he covered the ice with plastic sheeting and put a towel over it.  Then he placed the cake board on top. Then put the lid on the rubbermaid bin.  It was a challenge to keep it from getting warm or soggy!

First Communion Cookies

Here's are first communion cookies for a little boy named Ethan.  His mom had no specifications and has ordered from me before so I set out to make something simple and "boyish."

Native American Cupcakes

These cupcakes were made for a Native American themed bithday...the birthday boy loved them!  It was a difficult theme for me to make cupcakes for because I had little direction, but I love how they turned out!

Cupcakes: Mickey Mouse Club House

Another delayed posting...here are Mickey Mouse Club House cupcakes that I made for a little girl's 2nd birthday.  Happy Birthday Olivia!

Last Year's Easter Cookies

I was looking at designs for this year's Easter bookies and realized that I completely forgot to post last year's cookies!!!  Here they are.  Better late than never I guess!
Packaged and ready to go...to my best customers (the teacher's where I work).
